Ramadan with USCMO - A time to celebrate!
A time to celebrate!
In the spirit of interfaith and community outreach, USCMO annually organizes an Iftar dinner during the holy month of Ramadan. This special event takes place at the Marriott Crystal Gateway in Washington, DC, and extends invitations to elected officials, government representatives, foreign diplomats, interfaith leaders, and community figures.
Notably, in year’s past we’ve featured Mr. Robert Malley, President of the International Crisis Group and former special assistant and senior adviser to Presidents Obama and Clinton, as the Keynote speaker. The Iftar has also acknowledged the outstanding contributions of Congresswoman Judy Chu, who was presented with a leadership award for introducing H. Res.869, a resolution recognizing the history and contributions of American Muslims to our nation.
The Iftar dinner serves as a vibrant occasion, fostering connections and promoting mutual understanding among diverse communities and officials from across the nation, all while enjoying delicious food and embracing the spirit of Ramadan.
Demonstrating our commitment to fostering inclusivity and promoting interfaith understanding by inviting our members, and individuals to join us to break fast provides an opportunity for us to strengthen relationships while fostering goodwill and dialogue.
