Sr Christina Tobias-Nahi has been the Director of Public Affairs, Research & Advocacy at Islamic Relief USA for 9 years in this her second stint and served 5 years prior; in the gap years in between she worked with the Joint Council on International Childrens Issues and with the US State Dept TechGirls program empowering youth in the MENA region.
Tobias-Nahi holds two Masters, one from Harvard Graduate School of Education and another previously from Boston University-Paris in International Relations. She will complete this December an Executive certificate program in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government she began during the pandemic.
Before moving to DC, Tobias-Nahi spent nearly a decade working at Harvard University with the Islamic Legal Studies Program and the Civil Rights Project. Prior to Boston she was in Paris for many years where she studied and worked for the OECD and met her spouse who is from Morocco. They have raised two children in the US and understand the many challenges facing the community and she has published on various issues such as the education of Muslim children post 9/11, women in leadership, and Muslims running for public office amongst other topics.
